"USE OF ILLUSTRATION"
From the AIGA series: "Design Business and Ethics"

The AIGA recently released a series of brochures entitled, "Design Business and Ethics." This series outlines the critical ethical and professional issues encountered by designers and their clients. The intent is to develop content that is useful to designers, and to provide a resource to educate clients on standard practices and legal requirements faced by design firms. Authored by industry leaders from across the country, each brochure offers clear and concise information, as well as practical and specific directions for approaching design issues.

By invitation, the Illustrators' Partnership directed and co-authored, "Use of Illustration" the third brochure in the series. "Use Of Illustration" provides information about industry standards and ethics in the purchase and use of illustration. Topics also include the benefits of commissioning original work for client projects. It is a useful reference and resource tool for professionals, educators and students.
